Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Freedom Vision by SpaMedica, we believe everyone should be able to access information easily. That’s why we have designed and tested our website in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These criteria help us meet our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
We regularly review our site to ensure an inclusive, user-friendly experience for all.
Key Accessibility Features
We’ve built in a range of features to make browsing easier for everyone, including those with visual impairments or other needs:
Colour & Contrast Support
Our colour palette has been carefully selected to support users with limited vision or sensitivity to contrast.
Alt Text for Images
Where relevant, images across our website include descriptive alternative text for use with screen readers.
External Link Handling
Links to external websites open in the existing browser tab or window. You can return by selecting the “back” button.
Keyboard Navigation
Our website is designed to be used without a mouse:
- Use arrow keys to scroll.
- Press Tab to move between links.
- Press Enter to select an option.
PDFs and Downloadable Documents
We aim to make all our PDFs accessible with assistive technology. If you experience difficulty, we are happy to provide information in an alternative format on request.
Third-Party Services
In some areas, we rely on third-party applications to deliver functionality and services we cannot provide ourselves. Wherever possible, we work with these providers to ensure they meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. However, we cannot guarantee that all third-party tools will always remain accessible as they are subject to updates beyond our control. If you encounter issues, please let us know via our enquiry form or email info@freedom-vision.co.uk
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. As technology evolves and our website develops, there may be times when issues are missed or new barriers arise. We are always striving to improve and welcome feedback to help us do so.
